VISION IS THE ABILITY TO SEE POTENTIAL IN WHAT OTHERS OVERLOOK

THE TRUSTEES

The board of trustees are all Directors of Par Track Limited and are legally responsible for managing the track and its staff and facilities to comply with all relevant regulations. Their role has evolved, originally coming together to save the track, then fundraise for the renovation of the site to now ensuring we act in the interests of the community to create a community hub with many opportunities and facilities. We are unpaid volunteers and strategically oversee the management and administration of Par Track and many of us also volunteer with the various activities at the Track.

COLLIN harker, CHAIR

Local resident, father of two (children & dogs!) who all actively use Par Track. Passionate about the importance of coming together as a community to ensure Par Tracks’ continued existence.

Business consultant experienced in developing community organisations and projects, carrying out business planning for these and for private sector projects, and a personal passion for local ownership, collective action, and sustainable development. The confluence of my expertise, my personal passion, and the tenuous future facing this important community gem, made me determined to contribute to the community effort to protect it.

pam cabutti, LIBRARY COORDINATOR

Pam’s original aim when first joining the board was to give as much support as possible save and preserve the premises from development to provide a facility which would offer many opportunities to the community

Pam has always been involved with community issues & dealing with the public particularly children. Organising playgroups, youth clubs , childminding & also Brownies which she is still involved with to this day.

Pam has always had a great interest in books so it seemed a natural move to volunteer to help save the community library, starting the project at the Portakabin and moving it to the cafe in late 2019. Pam manages the library with Cornwall Library Services and all the wonderful volunteers.

BECKY Hughes, nature & cycling champion

Becky first became involved in Par Track through helping to set up the junior parkrun with a group of local friends. That rapidly expanded into organising junior cycling sessions and getting involved with touch rugby, and then being invited onto the Board.

Becky has been working in the environment sector for over twenty years, working on farm advice, community involvement, conservation management and climate change.

She is also part of the PSA at Tywardreath School and likes to spend any spare time she has left either near, on or in the sea, rowing or swimming.

Lisa Roach

Lisa is the director and senior youth worker with Kernow Youth for over 5 years . Lisa has worked with Sport England to tackle anti-social behaviour in local community and is currently running groups for 8–12-year-old, 13–17-year-old, young mums, home education, young women, and young men plus a SEN group.

Lisa is also working with the local community, bridging the gap between the older members and the young people. Out of work she likes walking and music.

Phil oxenham

Phil is relatively new to the area but has considerable experience of working on both sports clubs and school committees. Having worked in the Financial Services industry for over 30 years he has a comprehensive knowledge of working within a strictly regulated environment and the disciplined approach required for efficient decision making.

With a grown up family, he is now able to use some of his free time to support local organisations and contribute to improving our community. Outside of work he likes to keep fit playing football, running and enjoying the Cornish coast and countryside by taking long dog walks.

omar maged

I’m Omar Maged, I live in Par and my day job is computer repairs. Love helping people and passionate about learning new things out of my comfort zone.

I think it’s amazing having something like Par Track in our neighbourhood and I’ve been involved with the Par Track for a while helping in the IT sector and now joined the board to learn from the existing experienced trustees and to help keep this gem running for our lovely community.
