Par Track is a beautiful and unique green space at the heart of our community. Offering a health and wellbeing hub that supports our rural community to be healthy and happy.

Par Track is a Charitable Community Benefit Society, sitting in the heart of three small Cornish villages, on the outskirts of Cornwall's largest conurbation, St Austell. Serving a much wider community with fantastic transport links with train station and bus stop a short walk away.

We are known for our running track but since the community took over the running of the track in early 2018 we have grown to be so much more.

The revitalised area includes a competition-grade running track, cafe, micro library, skatepark, green trail, football and rugby pitches, children’s wooden play park, community gym, track cycling, fitness classes, Junior Park Run and children’s holiday clubs are just some of the new activities that have found a home at Par Track.

Par Track also provides vital green outdoor space for dog walking, families to play and children to be free but safe.

We also offer facility hire of various areas of the Track or the whole venue, with catering available for:

HISTORY

Par Track as it’s known now has been a labour of love for the volunteer board members since the group first gathered, setting up a Community Benefit Society with ‘Charitable Status’ in 2017 to save the park from potential property development and to safeguard this unique space for our community.

Successfully negotiating a long term lease of 125 years with Cornwall Council, with full rights to operate and develop the site for the community, including all the existing facilities.

Three years on and countless hours of grant applications, grass cutting, business planning, and much more besides, Par Track is run by the community, and is thriving.

The new clubhouse building opened after renovations at the end of 2019, with a new cafe, community gym, changing rooms, showers, community meeting space and successfully saving the community Library in the process.
