WE ARE OFFERING A partial service during November lockdown

We are a community hub, run for the community to provide a green space that offers opportunity for a healthy lifestyle , physically and mentally. As such our aim is to remain open as much as possible, and as safely as possible.

Our cafe has become a popular destination whilst waking the dog, or letting the children playing in the play park or cycle around the green trail. So we will be offering a limited take-away service from 10am-3pm with a slightly reduced menu. With appropriate safety and social distancing measures in place. We will trial this at the beginning of lockdown to see if the service is needed by the community and make the decision to remain open from there.

Under government guidance the Children’s Play Park, Pump Track, Green Trail and open fields can remain open for daily exercise. However can only stay open as long as social distancing is maintained.

The facilities that will be closed are;

  • Running Track

  • Gym

  • Library

  • Toilets

  • Athletics - to be updated following debate in House of Commons following letter from England Athletics

We will remain alert to any news on any changes on these facilities and act accordingly.

For those that have a membership with us, are able to cancel online as we have a no-contract membership or if you are happy to continue for one month it would be a grateful contribution to our Charitable Community Benefit Society.

For the social prescribing clients, our healthy Living Coordinator, Melissa, will be in touch separately about next steps on services that can be offered.

We wish you all the best during this lockdown, and hope to see you all very soon.
