Meet Sam Brereton

One of the few athletes in Cornwall that has been granted Elite Athlete status.

Sam is a local elite athlete and Great British high jumper. Who has achieved National Titles, England and Great Britain vests and also achieved an English record over the last few seasons.

Sam is training towards the winter season including the British Championships, as well as preparing for the European and World Junior Championships in the summer.

To ensure Sam’s hard work and dedication over the last few years and seasons does not go to waste he is able to use the Par Track Facilities throughout lockdown with his coach, based on his Elite Athlete status. Sam has commented;

“With the support of England Athletics and Par Track I will be able to carry on training to keep on form for my competitions coming up.”
